Tracing Claregalway’s Gastronomic Heritage

Galway has been awarded a European Region of Gastronomy 2018, the first region in Ireland to receive this designation.

Together with the Galway County Council, Heritage Office it will be the main aim of the Claregalway Historical Society to celebrate our Gastronomic Heritage with you.

This contribution page is a chance for you to help us to gather and share Claregalway’s local gastronomic culture.

We are interested in all many areas that cover gastronomy i.e. food, cooking, recipes, festivals, history, stories, local businesses, linking different cultures and rural verse urban.
